20' portable "pop-up" booth, serpentine configuration

Objective: to create a bold, eye-catching exhibit while maintaining the booth's portability and affordability.

Result: a beautiful graphic-based exhibit that really pops. By using a monochromatic, simple design, this graphic becomes larger than life in this 20 foot configuration.

10' modular panel booth

Objective: to create a modern, fresh looking exhibit to display the company's different product lines while keeping the booth easy to install.

Result: a crisp yet simple modular panel system that installs with the greatest of ease. The panels were made with black laminate to allow the clocks LED faces to really stand out. An acrylic, edge-lit logo panel and laser cut logo floor tiles were added to give the exhibit a real custom feel, and for even more eye-catching appeal, a backlit graphic was added to the right side. To display the company's smaller products, custom counters--made with every engineer's favorite, truss--were added to the front of the booth.

Cost Driving Design--How can we save $$$ and still look great?

Every company has a different reason for exhibiting. Some exhibit to showcase a new product, some exhibit to recruit new clients or new employees. These reasons generally dictate how your booth is designed. Do you need a lot of storage, do you want to focus more on graphics, or both? No matter your focus or your design, one thing remains the same--we'd all like it cheaper.

The very simple, but very true realization of cost has actually driven design trends in the exhibit industry for the past couple of years. Exhibitors are looking for ways to cut their budget at every corner, and lighter, easier to install exhibits seem to be the most practical solution yet.

Some of the other most effective solutions recently have been so simple, yet we've been overlooking then for years. Answers such as using graphics to show your products instead paying the shipping and drayage to bring your merchandise with you have proven to be both visually effective and cost effective.

Many exhibitors are also turning to lighter weight structures for their booths. Fabric and aluminum are the hottest items right now not only because they're lightweight and easy on the pocket book, but because they look great too. With interesting lighting, these exhibits can seem even more prominent than great big structures that are very costly both to build and to ship.

The booth to the left was designed specifically to reduce not only the company's drayage and shipping costs, but the installation costs as well. They are currently using a modular panel system to build their 16' towering exhibit. True, the panel system is much cheaper than a custom exhibit, but the goal was to find a way to cut costs even further without losing any of the booth's eye-appeal and demonstration ability.

By using a modular aluminum system to build the main structure of the booth, we were able to reduce the number of crates that the company's existing booth uses by half! For added points of interest, we added plenty of backlit graphics and a large fabric cone in the center of the booth that's sure to be an attention grabber.
