November 08 Newsletter:

Message From The President

Change! Change you can believe in… and it's here now. Our new website includes a "Design Search" feature which allows you to review a number of exhibit designs based on their size, price, components and delivery schedule. Also we have a new section on "Green Exhibiting" which will, no doubt, expand dramatically as this market segment emerges.

One thing which has not changed much is the cost of shipping and material handling. Once you move beyond portables, an exhibit's weight impacts your show costs dramatically. However by using aluminum, plastic and fabric, we can create structural exhibits which weigh less than traditional construction, as shown in the HITCO exhibit below.

Next month I will attend the Exhibit Designers and Producers Association Annual Meeting. Our next newsletter will highlight the key points raised at the meeting.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hitco Carbon Composites Debutes New Booth At Farnborough Show

Our client, Hitco Carbon Composites, débuted their new 40’ x 40’ two-story exhibit at the 2008 Farnborough Air Show in Farnborough, England.   Hitco made their presence known this year with an environment created to inform and entertain existing clients and new contacts.

The two story configuration gave the client extra space for meetings in a private setting. A bar area underneath the two story structure provided additional entertaining space and ample storage with refrigeration. Inspired by Hitco’s logo, a spacious yet intimate atmosphere was achieved with the circular fabric wall built from 50% post-recycled aluminum frames.  Completing the interior, along with the two-story space were video screens lining the walls, chairs and tables made with metal from old airplanes, and the rubber flooring made from recycled tires.

On the exterior, floor to ceiling fabric graphics, 3-D logos, podiums to display their models, and more video screens completed the look.  AEM created an exhibit that made Hitco not only an attention grabber but an exhibit that was eco-conscious in its design, and reusable for future shows.

The booth will make its anticipated second appearance this coming June at the 2009 International Paris Air Show.
