Dear Exhibitors:
Today, July 2nd, 227 years ago, the Second Continental Congress declared
independence from Britain. However the written version, our Declaration
of Independence, was not endorsed until July 4th, which became the famous
holiday. Just like in trade shows, the written version of the document
becomes more important.
It is almost impossible to have too much paperwork covering your trade
show event. Even as more show services are arranged electronically, nothing
beats a hard copy when you are negotiating with a service contractor on
the show floor. But ordering and maintaining copies of all these orders
is time consuming.
You can declare your independence from this paperwork tyranny by letting
us do the work for you. There is no need to dump tea in the harbor, just
call and we will take over.
Our project administration staff loves Exhibitor Kits. After completing
the kit, they create your "ShowBook" which contains copies of all orders,
shipping documents, labels and other critical information, enough for even
a Stamp Act Commissioner. It will only cost a few Jeffersons to celebrate
your independence from this tyranny.
Please enjoy your 4th of July holiday and its parades, barbeques, fireworks
and parties. Remember to thank those who allow us to remain independent
and free.
Sincerely,

| The show is over, and it's
time to disassemble your exhibit. Although many think once the last exhibitor
leaves the show their job is over, this isn't necessarily the case.
It's always a good idea to
have someone from your company (or your exhibit house) supervise the dismantle
of the booth, since this is really where caring for your exhibit begins.
In our experience, 50% more damages occur in shipping after the show than
going to the show. There is a simple explanation--careless packing. Having
a representative supervise the dismantle ensures that things are packed
properly and your exhibit properties are handled with care.
If you used a smaller exhibit
and generally install and dismantle the exhibit yourself, there are a few
things to remember as well. If you use a pop-up exhibit with photomural
panels, make sure each individual panel goes into it's proper slip sheet.
Most pop-up exhibits ship in two cases. The reason for this is to keep
your hardware from banging against your graphics during shipping, so take
care to make sure that each piece goes into it's correct case.
If you are one of the lucky
few who actually get to assemble your own modular exhibit, make sure to
take the same care when dismantling your booth. Use slip sheets between
panels to avoid |
|
scratches
and cracks and make sure your graphics panels are securely packed.
It's always a good idea to
get a packing chart from your exhibit house, so you know exactly where
each piece should fit into the cases.
Once the exhibit is safely--we
hope--returned to your storage space (be it your office, warehouse, or
exhibit house), a few things should happen to make sure you'll be in good
shape for the next show:
1. Inventory your exhibit.
Make sure nothing was lost or broken during shipping.
2. If you have a pop-up,
the panels should be stored lying flat. This is the case even for fabric
panels to make sure that your magnets don't come off, or your panels don't
start to de-lam.
3. Store your exhibit in
a cool, dry place. Weather and moisture are a healthy exhibit's worst enemies.
4. If you do see any damages,
get them repaired as soon as possible. If you wait until right before your
next show, it may be too late to get the parts you need.
These are just a few of the
key elements to keeping your exhibit in top shape. Exhibits are an investment,
so protect them and they're sure to give you the return that you seek.

No
fancy writing on this one--let's just list out the benefits of incorporating
exhibit accessories into your trade show program:
1. Change
or supplement your existing message without incurring the larger costs
of refurbing your booth.
2. Use
lit stands throughout your booth to display and distribute your literature
in an organized manner while reinforcing your visual message.
3. Retractable
banner stands can be used in a number of ways including transforming from
a full height banner to a table top banner when needed.
4. Portability--use
your banner and lit stands in hospitality suites and meeting rooms. When
your done, you can simply pack them up and bring them back to the booth.
5. Use
accessories in show and hotel lobbies where you are exhibiting or have
a suite. You can even customize these to have arrows pointing the way or
write the suite number on the banner.
These are just a few reasons
why exhibit accessories can be a very effective tool in your trade show
program. The possibilities are endless though.
