| Dear Exhibitors,
February is now upon us. Beyond
the inflated business for greeting card companies, teddy bear makers, and
florists, for many exhibitors it is the start of their tradeshow season.
You have survived the holidays and their aftermath. It is time to get down
to business.
To deal yourself the best
hand, examine all components of your trade show program: message, graphics,
hardware and schedule. Is your message still appropriate, can it be improved?
Are your graphics correct and in good shape? Do they reflect the quality
of your company? Is your exhibit hardware functioning properly? Or will
reps call from the field with problems? Can you ship show to show to reduce
shipping costs? Or is it better to add another exhibit to permit slower,
lower cost shipments? Addressing these and other questions can help you
gain a winning hand for your trade show program.
We want to help too. Browse
our archived newsletters for helpful tips and tricks of the trade. Review
our mailers for the latest in exhibit techniques and technology. |

A winning hand makes everyone
a winner.
Sincerely,

Ten
Ways to Save a Buck...
1. Order show services by
the first, discounted deadline.
2. Pack some cleaning supplies
and clean your own exhibit to eliminate cleaning fees.
3. Send hanging signs ahead
of time , so they are hung before your exhibit labor hits the show floor
to install the booth.
4. Prepare your booth labor
by sending them schematics and instructions of your exhibit before the
install date, so they can familiarize themselves with your properties.
5. Make sure all shipping
forms are filled out correctly on the show floor to avoid your freight
being forced (which generally costs more). |
6.
Ship all freight together to avoid separate drayage charges.
7. Order only the show services
(lead machine, telephone, plumbing) that you absolutely need.
8. Eliminate the heaviest
elements of your exhibit, replacing them with lighter weight materials
to minimize freight charges.
9. Prepay show services.
10. Make sure your exhibit
properties are packed correctly and securely to minimize any damage that
may occur during shipping.
