HAPPY HOLIDAYS ! ! !Recently you may have heard about a ban on halogen lights at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC); these are the types of lights that the majority of you use on your pop-up exhibits. Though the ban will not take effect until July 2003 and LVCC is the only center with this ban (no other convention centers are planning to implement these restrictions), we and many industry suppliers are reviewing options and alternatives to resolve this situation. Currently there are optional light fixtures available, and in the near future, there will be several bulb alternatives available, both of which will meet the restrictions imposed by the LVCC. Also, many industry groups are currently meeting with the LVCC to try to lift this ban altogether as the general consensus is that this decision is not based solely on practical experience or safety concerns. As the deadline approaches, we will keep you apprised of options and ideas that will help you determine what is the best solution for your individual needs. All of us here at Advanced Exhibit Methods hope that you have a wonderful Christmas holiday and a happy New Year! Sincerely,
|

| After a number of successful
years with their existing 10' x 20' inline exhibit, QLogic decided it was
finally time to update their trade show look. We're all feeling the effects
of the economy this year, and QLogic is no exception, so the question becomes--how
can we update our appearance without downsizing our cashflow? After a month
or so of debating, the answer was clear--refurb.
Refurbs have gotten a bad name in the industry. Almost like admitting that you shop at a secondhand clothing store (even though we all enjoy discovering the hidden treasures). Refurbishing your trade show exhibit is actually much of the same thing. |
